New whale sanctuary for the Caribbean

The Caribbean Environment Programme (CEP) is optimistic that endangered humpback whales in the Wider Caribbean will be better protected under a new agreement signed by the Dominican Republic's Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources and the United States' National Marine Sanctuary Program.
